Epic Games is suing the iPhone maker for antitrust violations.

Fortnite has released its latest season, but millions of its players wont be able to enjoy it: The game has been pulled from Apples App Store, leaving iOS and macOS users unable to update to the highly anticipated Season 4. But this struggle is bigger than one update, one game, or even one company. Fortnites Apple user base is the newest casualty in a years-long antitrust battle between developers and one of the worlds richest companies. Epic Games sued Apple in mid-August, claiming that the companys App Store practices violate the Sherman Act. South Korea reported 441 new cases of the coronavirus, its highest single-day total in months, making lockdown-like restrictions look inevitable as transmissions slip out of control. The country has added nearly 4,000 infections to its caseload while reporting triple-digit daily jumps in each of the past 14 days, prompting health experts to warn about hospitals possibly running out of capacity. The 441 cases reported on Thursday was the biggest daily increase since the 483 reported on 7 March. South Koreas Centres for Disease Control and Prevention said 315 of the new cases were from the Seoul metropolitan area, home to half of the countrys 51 million people, where health workers have struggled to track infections linked to various sources, including churches, restaurants, schools and wo...

Sometime next month, iPhone users will start seeing a new question when they use many of the apps on their devices: Do they want the app to follow them around the internet, tracking their behavior? Poisoned Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny’s condition has improved, allowing doctors to take him out of an induced coma, a German hospital says.

Poisoned Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny's condition has improved, allowing doctors to take him out of an induced coma, the German hospital treating him has said. Mr Navalny, a fierce, high-profile critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin, was flown to Germany last month after falling ill on August 20 on a domestic flight in Russia. German chemical weapons experts say toxicology tests show the 44-year-old was poisoned with Soviet-era nerve agent Novichok, prompting the German Government last week to demand that Russia investigate the case. "The patient has been removed from his medically induced coma and is being weaned off mechanical ventilation," Berlin's Charite hospital said in a statement. "He is responding to verbal stimuli. It remains too early to gauge the potentia...
