NSW Health has issued a public health alert for a number of locations in Sydney’s CBD, Upper and Lower North Shore and the Central Coast including four trains.
A person with COVID-19 attended a gaming area in City Tattersalls on Monday, August 24.
“Others who were in the gaming areas on this day must monitor for symptoms and get tested immediately if even the mildest symptoms develop,” the department said.
“NSW Health is working with City Tattersalls to identify and contact people considered close contacts.”
People who were at the Fitness First gym on Bond Street in the city are also being contacted if they visited between 12pm and 4.30pm on Thursday, August 20 and Friday, August 21 “to determine their level of contact”.
“Anyone who has been at the gym on either day must monitor for symptoms and get tested immediately if even the mildest of symptoms develop,” NSW Health said.
The department is considering people who attended the following locations during the relevant times to be “casual contacts” who must monitor for symptoms, get tested immediately if they develop and stay in isolation until receiving a negative test result.

A new case to be reflected in Friday’s numbers worked at David Jones Elizabeth Street food court “while infectious”.
“He did not have contact with the public,” the department said on Thursday.
“Close contacts have been identified and are being contacted.”
NSW Health did not provide a date or time period for this person.
Another new case travelled on the following trains.
Monday, August 24
* Sydney-bound train, departing Woy Woy station at 6.31am, arriving Wynyard station at 7.50am
* Northbound train, departing Town Hall station at 5.31pm, arriving Woy Woy station at 6.54pm
Tuesday, August 25
* Sydney-bound train, departing Woy Woy station at 6.31am, arriving Gordon station at 7.21am
* Northbound train, departing Hornsby station at 7.53am, arriving Woy Woy station at 8.28am
“People who travelled on these trains at the following dates and times are casual contacts and must monitor for symptoms and get tested immediately if symptoms develop, and must stay in isolation until they have received a negative result,” NSW Health said.
